Improving the directories

Making available the pages of Brighton & Hove’s historic directories as graphics is useful, but we can get so much more out of them. The next step is to tag, or note down in a database, the key information on each page. This will later speed access to key data and eventually assist us to transcribe the information on the directory pages. Then users will be able to generate dynamic searches and results tables.
We have now released the beta version of our Play Tag system. You can help us by using the system to tag pages and provide feedback to improve functionality. To start, register for an account.
