About
MyHouseMyStreet
The aim of the MyHouseMyStreet project is to encourage and enable exploration of Brighton & Hove's historic houses and streets – particularly, at this point in the project's development, those in the less fashionable 'back-street' neighbourhoods of our historic city.
The project was conceived by staff and volunteers at The Regency Town House Heritage Centre in the English city of Brighton & Hove. The main project team continue to use The Regency Town House as a headquarters for the MyHouseMyStreet project but many volunteers involved with the initiative now work wholly or partly from home.
In 2010, the MyHouseMyStreet project received support from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
You can interact with the project in various ways, these are set out in Get Involved.
We undertake the MyHouseMyStreet project to provide local people with the means to explore who previously lived in their homes and what life in their street was like in the past. We also hope our work will come to provide an exciting historical resource for a far wider range of users with an interest in history.
